Power and control lie implicit within the networked world. It is within the interactions, or the protocols that the mediation or enforcement of power exists. On one level protocols exist as one set of criteria, a description of how to interact and what can be expected. There is no longer a need for big brother to watch you as all interactions are mediated by any number of criteria. In the networked world conformity is therefore implicit, failure or refusal to meet certain protocols is met with denial of access.
Access is therefore the submission of power into the, a, or those systems. Access is therefore life.
