SOCIALITE out in the COLD!

Famous socialite John Holmes was in the process of transferring to a Sydney server when disaster struck.  As a result only half of his 15 terabytes of personal information was received.  Without proper access to back-up he is left helpless.  Appearing in the flesh for the first time in 5 years Holhms, obviously shaken by the incident said; “What can I do? My avatar is my image, its my life, income. I’m powerless now.”

The worst part for Mr Holms is his emerging disability to mediate the world without exposure to information sets.  He has had to rely on the use of a mobile phone in order to contact people and gain access to the datashpere.

Emergency Federal government protocols have been enacted, but almost 14 hours later people like Holhms are left in near poverty, dealing with speeds of less than a megabyte per second.
